What is LuckySearch

LuckySearch is a search engine you can use to find anything online – news, information, entertainment, gifts – anything you might be looking for. Every time you search you have the chance to win (up to 25 searches daily) valuable points you can redeem for a variety of great rewards. LuckySearch results come from one of the major search engines, so you’ll receive the same high-quality results you expect.

Is LuckySearch another "Social Network"?

No, LuckySearch is not another social network. You will want to invite people you know to LuckySearch so you can increase your chances of winning and earn big rewards, but you can do that using your primary social network like MySpace, Facebook, or Hi5. Besides connecting with your referrals on LuckySearch, there isn’t a lot of “social” functionality.

Does it cost anything to use LuckySearch?

No there is no cost. The service is free! You will sometimes see advertisements from our partners, but there is no obligation to participate in those offers.

How do I win?

Use LuckySearch just like any other search engine. You’ll get the same great results you’d expect from any other search engine. Every time you search, you have a chance to win. If you win, you will be notified right on your screen immediately after you search.

You must be logged into your account to win, and only your first 25 searches per day count towards your winnings. We have limited the number of searches per person to limit abuse and make sure that the service isn’t used for purposes other than normal searching (it’s not a slot machine!)

What do I search for?

You can search for anything! Enter a term you’re interested in, and you’re on your way!

How is a winner selected?

Every day is a new “contest”. You can see the number of available winning slots for the day in the Official Rules (these contest numbers are updated daily). For each contest, a computer has randomly selected times. If you do a search at the particular time the computer has randomly selected for that day, then you win!

What are my chances of winning?

Your chances of winning depend on how often you search, and how many friends you recruited to the service and how many other people are using the system. The people that win the most are the people with the most people in their Network, because when someone you recruited wins, you win the same prize too.

Do I have to register to win?

You have to register with an email address and password to win. In order to redeem your points for a reward, you also have to validate your email and postal address.

For larger items, like the cars, you will have to fill out special forms required by the government. Your information will never be shared with third parties without your permission. Read our privacy policy for more information.

Will I receive spam from signing up?

No, you will not receive spam. You will only receive emails from us pertaining to your account, and you can manager your communication preferences in your profile.

Why do you ask me for my email address?

We use your email to send you information regarding your account, special offers and rewards you have redeemed. You will use it to sign in to your account.

No! You will only be identified to them by your first name and last initial.

If I am busy and can’t invite my friends during registration what do I do?

You can invite your friends at anytime. Simply click Invite Friends on your member home page and you will be given different ways to invite your friends, family members, anyone you think would appreciate this fun service.

Do I have to give you my personal information?

Yes, we have to validate your information to ensure you are an actual person participating in the program and to prevent duplicate (and fraudulent) accounts. And we’ll need your mailing address to mail your rewards and prizes to you.

Why do I have to confirm my email address?

This is our primary way of communicating important information to you, like when you win from someone in your Network. We also want to make sure you don’t miss out on any important information regarding your account, the rewards you have redeemed or special offers to help earn you more points.

How do I confirm my email address?

You will receive an email from LuckySearch welcoming you to the site when you register. There will be a link in that email you can click to confirm/validate your email address. You can also request another one by clicking on the link on your member home page.

Winning Points
How do I know if I won?

If you won, you will be notified instantly on your screen and the points will be automatically added to your account. You will see your point total on the top right corner of your member home page.

How many times can I win?

There is no limit to how many times you can win over the life of your membership.

However, there are some practical constraints. You only have as many chances as there are in a day, and you only get credit for your first 25 searches. You can increase your chances by recruiting people you know to LuckySearch, because each of them can search too, and when they win, you win.

Is there a limit to how many points I can win?

There is no limit to how many points you can win or earn over the life of your membership. See the Official Rules for all the details.

Can I increase my chances of winning?

You can increase your chances for winning when you recruit people into Personal Network. Any time someone in your Personal Network wins, you win the same prize. Also, you win when they recruit people into their Personal Network (which is your “Extended Network”). When a member of your Personal or Extended Network wins, then you win too!

How will I know if one of my friends wins?

You will be notified on your member home page and by email. The points will be added to your account and you should see the new total on your member home page. You can click “Details” under Your Points on your member home page to view more information on your points.

What are Bonus Points and bonus point opportunities?

Bonus Points are points you can earn by completing offers from our advertising partners or participating in our exclusive promotions or contests.

I completed a bonus offer. When will I see my Bonus Points on my account?

We will award you your bonus points as soon as we hear from the advertiser that you have completed the offer. This can happen within 1 business day or a week depending on the offer. You can click “Details” under Your Points on your member home page to view more information on how you were awarded your points.

Where can I find out how I won my points?

Go to your member home page and select “Details” in “Your Points” status window. You will see a statement of all the points you have won or earned with a description of the point earning event. You will also see what points you have redeemed for your rewards.

Are there restrictions for winning?

To win, you MUST live in the United States, Great Brittan, or Canada and be at least 13 years old. In addition, you must have access to the internet.

Why should I add LuckySearch to my web browser (FireFox or IE7)?

It’s an easy way to search with LuckySearch without having to go back to your member home page after each search. Also, you’ll get some bonus points when you do your first search from your browser.

How do I redeem my points for a reward?

You can redeem your points by clicking on “Rewards Catalog” on your member home page. Select from the items availabe within your point range and your request will be processed. You can redeem your points immediately after winning them, or you can save them and work towards even bigger rewards.

When will I get my reward?

After you select your reward, we usually process your request within 2 business days (with exception to holidays). If you select a gift card that can be sent to your email then you will receive your reward quickly. If you have selected an item that has to be mailed or delivered then it will take longer depending on the shipping method. For the larger items, like the cars, televisions, or appliances, we will be in touch to coordinate delivery with you.

What’s a Free Luck Reward?

A Free Luck Reward is a free reward doesn’t require any luck! Earn your Free Luck Reward by recruiting 10 people to join LuckySearch that do the same.

Who counts towards my Free Luck Reward?

Validated registered members that signed up through your referral link count towards your Free Luck Reward. You can get anyone you know – friends, family members, co-workers, aquantances, anyone that will appreciate our great service!

How do I claim my Free Luck Reward?

You don’t have to claim your Free Luck Reward. We will send you an email when you have fulfilled all the requirements and ship you your reward to your validated postal address.

How do I track my Free Luck Reward progress?

You can follow your Free Luck reward progress by watching the Free Luck Stars fill up on your member home page. You can also monitor your Personal Network and see which of your recruits are doing well also.

What is validating my account?

We require each member to validate their account before they can redeem their points for rewards, or count towards a friends Free Luck Reward.  Validation is completed when you click on a link in your email, and confirm you contact and shipping information (to a valid address).  This is also to make sure we can contact you when you win a prize!

How do I invite people?

You can invite people by using the options on the “Invite Friends” page. You can either send them an invitation from our site or you can copy and paste your Personal Link and send it in an email or instant message to friends, family members, or co-workers – anyone you know would appreciate our great service.

Please note: Only invite people you know to LuckySearch using email or instant messages. Sending invitations to people you don’t know can be considered spam, and could result in the termination of your account.

A personal link is a special link that you can send to people that lets us track your referrals. It’s very important you use your Personal Link so you get credit for all your referrals.

No! If you recruit someone by posting your Personal Link to a blog or website, or even if you send it in an email, the person that clicks on it will not see your personal information, and you won’t see theirs. You will be identified by your first name and last initial, and so will they to you.

Where can I find a list of my contacts and invitations sent?

You can view your Personal Network by clicking on “Details” under Your Network on your member home page or selecting “Your Network” on the top right of your member page.

What is a Personal Network?

Your Personal Network consists of people that you directly recruited that joined LuckySearch.

What is an Extended Network?

Your Extended Network consists of the recruits that joined from people in your Personal Network (your friends friends).

If someone in my Network wins, do I win something too?

Yes! If someone in your Personal Network wins, you win the same reward! If someone in your Extended Network wins, you also win. In this case, the number of points you win depends on where they are in your Extended Network (how many degrees away from you they are).

How do I change my personal information?

Sign into the site at www.luckysearch.com/user. Click on "Profile" in the top right corner of your member home page and then select “Update Personal Information” and you should be able to change your information and save.

How do I change my password and email address?

Sign into the site at www.luckysearch.com/user. Click on "Profile" in the top right corner of your member home page and then select "Change Password" or "Change Email Address" and you should be able to change your information and save.

How do I change my email preference?

Sign into the site at www.luckysearch.com/user. Click on "Profile" in the top right corner of your member home page and then select "Update Email Communication Preferences" and you should be able to select or unselect which box protains to your need.
